Vi & Bill’s Asian Art Museum wedding celebrations actually kicked off the day before with a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony at Vi’s family home. If you’re trying to figure out what is going on as the guy’s arrive, they were given challenges to pass in order for Bill to get past the front door to see Vi. Challenges that, among other things, included dancing to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and sharing some ring pops; a jump rope challenge; a race to down a beer through a straw; and, of course, good old-fashioned bribery. Once Bill and the gang got through the door with the traditional offering of gifts. The following morning began at the Parc 55 Hotel in downtown San Francisco where they got ready for the big day. They held their ceremony at the beautiful St. Ignatius Cathedral on the USF campus and their reception was at the stunning Asian Art Museum. The Giants also had the good graces to win Game 4 of the world series that night, and providing us with a nice photo op in front of a lit-up City Hall. So all in all, it was a pretty spectacular day for these two and their friends, family and fans. Here are some of my favorite moments throughout their Asian Art Museum wedding and tea ceremony!
