After over a decade of experience, I've learned that great wedding photography starts long before I pick up my camera — whether it's a city hall elopement, city wedding in San Francisco, or in the rolling hills of Napa Valley.

It's built on trust — with you, your families, and your vendors.

Weddings have a lot of moving parts. Navigating them seamlessly is as much a part of the service as the photography itself.

"...we can't express enough how wonderful it was to work with him!! He was able to perfectly capture the magic of our wedding day and ensure that he photographed all of the aspects we were looking for."

"Duy is a true artist and professional. He has the unique ability to capture the full essence of the moments on camera. Everyone who has seen our photos agrees - Duy is truly gifted. Don’t second guess booking Duy, you will not regret it!!"

before the wedding

To ensure everything runs smoothly, I like to schedule two calls before your wedding day—especially if you’re not working with a full planner.

  • INITIAL CHECK-IN — One month out: timeline, schedule, inspiration, logistics.

  • FINAL CHECK-IN — One week out: confirm all details and make sure we're aligned.

CHECK, CHECK. ONE, TWO.

I believe in genuine moments.

That said, a subtle nudge can make all the difference.

Whether that's moving a chair or cracking a joke — I'm here to make it feel effortless.

My working style

after the wedding

While you're off honeymooning, I'm already pulling sneak peeks within 24–48 hours.

Your images are backed up to the cloud overnight. Final edits are ready 6–8 weeks after the wedding, delivered in both color and black & white.

I guarantee at least 1 year of image hosting — but download early. Expect 75–100 images per hour of coverage.

My style has continually evolved toward one goal: good light, true-to-life color, with a little kick in contrast.

I focus on cropping, composition, color correction, and exposure — minimal localized edits. See the before/afters below.

editing style

Sometimes people get inspired by images from other weddings and that's totally okay! We can discuss what you can realistically expect based on differences in venue/location/weather/etc. But I try to accommodate and put my own spin on things!

There is no fee for travel in the SF Bay Area. Depending on distance, accommodations may be required for weddings outside this coverage area.

For weddings, I book first come, first serve. If I'm available and you'd like to confirm booking, I recommend booking as soon as possible to ensure availability.

I strive to keep colors fairly close to reality, with a little bit of pop. While in some lighting conditions, colors may shift, photographs taken in natural light will have mostly accurate colors (See samples above)

Copyright, which I retain after delivery, is what allows me to use the photographs for my portfolio, blog, online publications, etc. Printing Rights, which you receive, allows you to use the files delivered to print at your own vendor or at home

You will receive all edited photographs via digital download. The files may be cropped for composition but all images will be high quality images suitable for printing without watermarks. Typically, couples can expect 75-100 photographs for every hour of coverage
