I've never met a macaron I didn't want to eat

Hi there! My name is Duy (sounds like yĒ), and I'm a wedding photographer based in beautiful Sonoma County with roots in architecture and design. I spent my college years and most of my 20s pursuing a career as an architect, earning a Master of Architecture from Harvard before moving to San Francisco, where I unexpectedly discovered my passion for photography. After realizing that my love for photography had greatly outgrown my love of architecture, I decided to take a leap and horrify my parents by leaving the routine of a stable job to pursue photography full-time. I immersed myself in the joy of storytelling and preserving the legacy of everyday people for future generations.

Weddings, in particular, appealed to me early on because there was an intersection of design, aesthetics, and emotion that I wasn't getting exposed to in my day job. The work I created for clients gave me a sense of purpose beyond myself. As I gained more experience and a greater artistic voice, my focus on helping clients enjoy their day became even more of a priority and has genuinely shaped how I work with couples and their friends and family.

Outside of weddings, I love hiking, traveling, and settling into the night with a glass of wine and a great movie. Also, I've got a serious sweet tooth, so if it's OK with you, I might sample some of the desserts.

(And how do you pronounce it?)
