Marisa and Chris’s University Club SF wedding was an incredibly mix of classic style and fun. The setting for much of the day was the University Club of San Francisco, a historic downtown building set in Nob Hill along the popular Powell St. It is the epitome of old school cool. The ladies got ready in the library before heading to the Saint Ignatius Church, another staple in the San Francisco urban fabric. One of my favorite little moments during the ceremony was a little wink that Marisa slipped to Chris. These little nuances are what I live for and captures a little bit more of the essence of their relationship. The entire day was playful and relaxed. It was windy and rain threatened, but that never diminished the spirits of the couple or their family and friends, who embraced the day come what may, wind and all. Marisa’s veil blew wildly during the formal portraits and we took it in with laughter–“It’s all part of the memory!”
Fortunately, the rain held off until the reception, while we were all inside for the latter part of their University Club SF wedding. The pitter patter of the raindrops could be heard faintly outside during the blessings and the dinner was served. The twinkling skyline of San Francisco served as a picturesque backdrop for the toasts and dancing. All in all it was a pretty amazing wedding for an awesome couple.
