I recently flew down to Los Angeles to photograph Kiersten and Justin’s LA Arboretum Wedding in Pasadena. After their amazing engagement session at Fort Point in San Francisco I was even more excited about the possibilities with this stylish couple. With so much to offer with such a diverse landscape, Kiersten and Justin wanted to spend a good amount of time around the property. We had a ton of fun with the portraits as you’ll see below. They decided to accent their wonderland-styled wedding with a feature of the Arboretum–the abundantly roaming Peacocks. The bouquets were DIY projects that mimicked the look and color of peacock feathers. The colors throughout the day also were inspired by the peacocks. Kiersten’s dress wasn’t vintage-styled–it actually is vintage. She wore the wedding dress that belonged to her mother and her grandmother before that (with some alteration). Justin went with a stylish white tuxedo jacket that really popped in the setting of the Arboretum. The ceremony was short, incredibly sweet, and contained more than a few Star Wars references. Their reception was back at the Peacock Cafe, where friends and family gathered for the dinner, toasts and dancing. In any case, you can see for yourself the awesomeness that was Kiersten and Justin’s wedding at the LA Arboretum below.
