Ashley and Michael’s Hans Fahden wedding in Calistoga at times looked like it was pulled right out of a Monet painting. With the foliage and flowers in full bloom and a pond dappled with lily pads, the scene could inspire any French Impressionists. But that was not the romance that brought everyone together in Calistoga that day; it was to celebrate the marriage of two beautiful individuals who you could see belonged together if you spent just a few moments with them. As they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, Ashley and Michael’s faces lit up. Their ceremony was set along the edge of the pond, set within the beautifully landscaped setting. Gorgeous floral arrangements by Lavender Floral marked the alter. The service, officiated by Ashley’s brother, was beautiful and heartfelt with personal vows leaving family and friends all misty-eyed. Afterwards we took advantage of the beautiful sites around Hans Fahden Winery to get a few more portraits before rejoining the other guests at cocktail hour on the Veranda. We snuck in to see the caves where dinner would be held before Ashley and Michael came out to perform their first dance. Afterwards the best man sabered a champagne bottle open for a welcome toast (I’ve never seen this before, and it was pretty amazing). Following dinner, Ashley and Michael led the way to the dance floor, kicking off the dance party. My team and I had an fantastic time working with the newlyweds and their friends and family in the lush setting of Hans Fahden. Here are some of my favorite captures throughout the day. Enjoy!
