When I first met Haley and Byron to discuss their Ru’s Farm wedding in Healdsburg, I immediately knew it was going to be something special. Nestled in the heart of Sonoma wine country, Ru’s Farm is one of the most breathtaking vineyard wedding venues in Northern California—and Haley and Byron’s connection made it even more so. Both writers based in LA, they share a deep love for movies, which made our conversations flow effortlessly. They first met in a writing class, where they quickly bonded over their shared sense of humor and mutual interests. Their undeniable chemistry shone through on their wedding day, and I was thrilled to be their Ru’s Farm wedding photographer to capture every moment.

The day began with a sweet first look under the shade of trees on the Ru’s Farm grounds. As Byron turned to see Haley in her beautiful off-the-shoulder gown, his face lit up with joy. They took a quiet, heartfelt moment to take it all in before the excitement of the day unfolded. Their energy was contagious, setting the perfect tone for what was to come.

Their ceremony took place beneath a majestic oak tree, framed by Sonoma County vineyards stretching out in the background. Their former writing teacher officiated, adding a deeply personal touch. The guests were visibly moved, with many tearing up as they listened to their heartfelt words.

The reception followed in the iconic Ru’s Farm barn, where the tables were adorned with soft blue accents that beautifully complemented the natural Healdsburg greenery. Film-inspired touches were everywhere—popcorn snacks in retro movie theater boxes, and each table named after a favorite movie. A projector played a mashup of their favorite films, adding a personal and creative flair to the celebration.

As the evening continued, Haley and Byron shared their first dance in the barn, under high ceilings draped with romantic fabric. The night closed on a high note with a fun bubble exit, as their guests cheered them on through a sea of floating bubbles. Laughter filled the air, making it a perfect ending to an unforgettable Healdsburg wedding day.
