Elvina and Dan’s Nestldown microwedding was absolutely lovely. I have photographed at Nestldown several times before but the unique requirements during 2020 offered new challenges while also paving the way for a different way to celebrate weddings. The ceremony chairs were spaced out a little and clustered based on people’s own household bubbles. The reception was scaled down to a cocktail hour with delicious appetizers and drinks. Some of the more traditional elements like cake cutting and toasts were still an important part of the celebration. Even though things were scaled down, the emotional resonance and joy weren’t diminished. I had a great time documenting Elvina and Dan’s special day and was honored to still be a part of their celebration!
