Kavitha and Michael’s Casa Real wedding was such a beautiful display of emotion and love. The day started with a first look prior to the Baraat just outside Ruby Hill. What I love about Indian weddings is that they start with such high energy celebration, with the groom’s side dancing towards the entrance where the bride’s side awaits to greet them. The processional continued on into the central courtyard where the Photo Gods gave us the perfect cloudy skies that provided some welcome shade from the heat as well as some beautifully soft light for the duration of the ceremony. The decor and floral work by Avasar Rentals provided another soft, but colorful layer to an already beautiful context of the Casa Real at Ruby Hill. Following the ceremony the guests moved inside for cocktail hour and the dinner reception. Dinner was accompanied with warm and reminiscing toasts and slideshows from both Michael and Kavitha’s fathers, and the Maid of Honor and Best Man. And as a bonus, there were dance performances and a dance lesson following their first dance. During golden hour we were able to sneak outside for some really spectacular light in the vineyards before returning to the party where they danced the night away. And thank you to my friend and fellow photographer, Kelcey Foster who was visiting from NYC and offered to assist me for the day. Here are some of my favorite photos from Kavitha and Michael’s Casa Real Wedding!
