Anne arrived at Flood Mansion and finished getting ready in the library with her sister and mom. That room does something to the light — soft, warm, filtered through all that dark wood and leaded glass. It’s one of my favorite places to work in San Francisco.
We moved to the courtyard for the first look. Amir waited on the mansion steps and when he turned around, his face said everything. After some wedding party portraits along the exterior, guests made their way inside for the ceremony in the Grand Hall. Anne’s sister officiated — personal and unhurried. The bay windows behind the altar filled the room with afternoon light, and the floral columns framed the whole thing perfectly.
After the ceremony, guests moved to the courtyard for cocktail hour while the Grand Hall was set for dinner. There was an oyster bar, late afternoon sun on the Pacific Heights rooftops, and the kind of easy energy that comes when a well-planned day starts to unfold on its own. Anne and Amir made their way between portraits on the terrace and greeting everyone below.
Dinner was back in the Grand Hall — gold chiavari chairs, low white florals, the band warming up. Toasts, dancing, cake. Cosmo Alley Cats kept the floor going all night.
Flood Mansion is one of those venues that does the heavy lifting. Every room has its own character. Anne and Amir used all of it.
Congratulations, Anne and Amir. I’m so glad to have been there.
