Next, we headed to Fay Park, a charming public park nestled in Russian Hill. Yoko and Ono from Two Perfect Events designed the ceremony setup, which featured transparent chairs that added a modern touch to the quaint park space. Additionally, Green Petal Designs created the stunning ceremony arch. A close friend of the bride and groom officiated the service, offering a personal glimpse into their stories. He did a great job hitting emotional notes and adding humor. After the family photos, we proceeded to Ina Coolbrith Park for a set of portraits before eventually heading to Chinatown for the reception.
The Moongate Lounge, located above Mister Jiu’s, the iconic Michelin restaurant in San Francisco’s Chinatown, provided the perfect reception venue. We took advantage of the empty lounge for portraits before guests arrived, with the velvet lounge chairs being a particular favorite. As guests trickled in, Michelle and Mike hid behind the curtain with their entourage during cocktail hour. Once most of the guests had arrived, the wedding party and newlyweds entered to cheers and applause.
Dinner was then catered by Mister Jiu’s, serving multiple courses. After the speeches, the couple visited the tables before returning to the bar area for their first dance and parent dances. Finally, Michelle and Mike’s Moongate Lounge wedding continued with their guests celebrating and dancing together into the night.
