So I’ve been a bit of a Conference Junkie for the past few months. In January I went to Mystic Seminars and last month I went to WPPI … well, sort of. The WPPI Conference and Expo is a HUGE conference with thousands of attendees. The expo is basically an endless sea of products–from cameras, lights and other equipment for use to client products like sample prints and albums (this is one way we’re able to check out the quality of the products we offer). It’s a bit overwhelming, though really cool to see all the stuff side by side.
My friend Taraneh came along with me for the first couple of days. I didn’t get a chance to see the print competition judging, unfortunately. I hear it’s really interesting, so I’ll have to check it out next year. Taraneh and I explored Vegas and then ventured out into the desert. She brought a suitcase full of dresses and bodysuits and we improvised a photoshoot out of it. And after she left, I immersed myself into the expo–but the more interesting part for me was definitely going out and taking photos.
