When Cecilia and Jon first told me about their W San Francisco wedding plans, I was very excited. While I love the pastoral landscapes of Napa and Sonoma, it’s always nice to stick around the city and shoot in a modern luxury hotel like the W San Francisco. The day kicked off as everyone got ready at the W before making our way over to the classic and iconic Saints Peter and Paul Church in North Beach. Cecilia was incredibly nervous, but excited. Of course, she had nothing to worry about–she looked stunning and her good friend and coordinator Bambi Mac came out of retirement to help make sure things went smoothly. After a classic, church ceremony, the wedding party was shuttled over to Yerba Buena where we did a few wedding party portraits and newly-wed portraits as the sun sank behind the San Francisco skyline. As the wedding party took a little break, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour at the W before enjoying dinner the Great Room–a sleek, modern ballroom with  a touch of softness added by the floral works of Blossoms. After a few lovely toasts and a splendid feast, the festivities continued up in the Social Terrace with dancing and dessert. One of my favorite moments was watching (and photographing) Jon’s dance with his mother, who surprised him with dance moves as she spun and twirled herself around.
