Caitlin + Evan

Madrona Manor Wedding

You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful spring day for Caitlin & Evan’s Madrona Manor Wedding. Just outside of downtown Healdsburg. Madrona Manor, once a private residence, sits within a beautifully landscaped property. It’s home to a Michelin Starred residents and contains incredibly beautiful rooms that perfectly encapsulates another time. The bridal suite over looks the Dy Creek Valley. The sunlight, filtering through the window sheers created the perfect soft light as Caitlin dawned her two piece gown.

Meanwhile, Evan and his groomsmen got ready at the Schoolhouse building – a set of small cottages across the property.

The ceremony was held in the south lawn, where guests where shaded by the grove of trees surrounding them. Caitlin’s grandmother gave a sweet blessing at the start of the ceremony.

After the ceremony, Caitlin and Evan raced off for some portrait time before we entered the porch for the reception dinner.

Guests enjoyed a series of moving toasts offered by Caitlin’s mom, the Maid of Honor, and the Best Man–all reminiscing on their storied past.

Before the sun sank too much, Caitlin and Evan snuck away from dinner for some time to themselves and portraits at the tail end of golden hour. At the front of the house is a beautiful vineyard which was a lovely backdrop. I always encourage couples to take advantage of portrait time to just check in, slow down, and breathe. At this point in the day, this Madrona Manor wedding was more than halfway over, with just cake cutting and dancing left. If we could slow down time, I’m sure this is where many would love to do exactly that.

After dinner was served and cake was cut, we all wandered inside the Madrona Manor itself where Caitlin and Evan shared their first dance. The always-memorable father-daughter dance followed. What made this night particularly special to me, was seeing the look of Caitlin’s grandmother–who’s smile sparkled in the background as she watched the joy unfold and intensify.

And before not long enough, it was time to call it a night!
