Kathryn and David, avid hikers, were pretty keen on having part of their engagement session at Tennessee Valley. I was definitely happy to oblige–even moreso when the day of the shoot came and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. We started off up on the batteries right by the San Francisco side of the Golden Gate Bridge and then made our way over to Tennessee Valley after that.

The hike to the beach was a couple miles, and around every bend we’d get closer to the beach. And then we heard the ocean–and turned that last bend. The light, previously lowering behind the mountains, was now fully at our disposal. Kathryn and David, energized by the beautiful California coastline, began running around on the beach without a care in the world. And me? I took some pictures to prove it.
